Located in the Forest Reserve of Hulu Terengganu Tambahan, Sekayu Recreational Forest is only an hour drive from Kuala Terengganu and 15 kilometers from Kuala Berang. The place is known for its nature wonder with plentiful of flora and fauna which makes it the most famous recreational forest in Terengganu and a favorite getaway from city’s hustle and bustle. Sekayu Recreational Forest is also homed for a unique waterfall; a large and beautiful vertical fall with seven cascades water fall that had three different sloped level.

Plus, there are also the crystal clear and cold water that flow from the Sekayu and Tersat River and the beauty of the Mother Nature is perfect for relax and rejuvenating your mind and body. Apart from that, this place is also famous for it contains many nature treasures such as flora and fauna that are well confined. There are various types of tree and plant species that can be found here including those which possess high medicine properties and value.

Sekayu Recreational Forest is suitable for family picnicking and outing activities for it have sufficient area and complete with facilities such as changing room, washroom, camping area together with a fire place to cook and boon fire, electric and clean water supply . Visitors are recommended to visit Taman Pertanian Negeri, situated inside the Sekayu Recreational Forest. Here, visitors will see Flower Park, Orchid Park, fruit orchard, garden, Bird Park and mini zoo. There are also chalets own by state government for an overnight stay.
