Hat Yai Observatory is Hat Yai’s deepsky observation for science and astronomy. It is located on top of the Hatyai Hill near the Hatyai Park and it is at close proximity to other attractions like the Hat Yai Park with Lantern Festival (Free Admission), Hat Yai Ice Dorm, Hat Yai Cable Car, Hat Yai White Guan Yin and Phra Phutthamongkol Maharat.
This might not be the ideal tourist attraction but it is a great learning place for locals especially the children. Thus, if you are a star gazing fan and this is the proper place to do so in Hatyai.

Open daily 9:00am – 8:00pm.
Getting there
Since it is located on the hill, please hire your transportation as it is very hard to get transportation on top of the hill. The best way to go there is by self-drive. Self-drive in Southern Thailand is convenient, safe and enjoyable.
