The Labuan Museum is easy to reach as it is located in the center of Labuan city center and is a must visit for those who wish to catch a glimpse of the island’s rich history. Labuan Museum concentrates on the historical theme and history of Labuan. The lower-storey historical theme will consist of the six-stage transition period beginning from the pre-historic era and the Brunei Sultanage through the declaration of Labuan as a Federal Territory and an International Offshore Financial Center (IOFC).
The cultural theme for the upper-storey exhibitions will exhibit the socio-cultural aspects and socio-economy of the local society through six galleries each representing the Bruneian Malays, Kadayan, Cina, Kadazan-dusun, Indians and Sikh. Among the focal points are people migration history, prominent individuals as well as the the theme and cultural artifacts through the concept of harmony in a multi-racial society.
