Pantai Seri Tujuh or Beach of the Seven Lagoons is a popular beach near the border with Thailand in the Tumpat district. It is located about seven kilometers north of Kota Bharu, near the Thai border.
Visitors will enjoy the journey to Pantai Seri Tujuh as the route promises a scenic view of the coastline that looks out to the South China Sea. Drivers will passes through scenic coastline and fishing village. There are some good,cheap and modest resort and chalet can be found here. Many old fashioned Malay fishing boats nearby are seen here because most of the nearby villages are quite traditional type of person.
The best time to visit Pantai Seri Tujuh is during the International Kite Festival which is held annually when top kite or wau flyers from all over the world gather to show off their skills in flying kites.During this festival, the beach will be busy with ethusiasts of the traditional kite. Kites of various colors and sizes can be seen here with the wau bulan or the moon kitebeing the most common to be seen.
