Tegallalang Rice Terraces is famous for its beautiful scenes of rice paddies involving the 'Subak' a traditional Balinese irrigation system that according to history, was passed down by a revered holy man named Rsi Markandeya in the eighth century. This is a great place for a walk between the paddy field and cuppa tea, watching the locals planting and harvest rice.
