Among all villages in Tioman Island, Kampung Salang Tioman is the most popular. It has clear water which is ideal for snorkeling and diving and offers an adventures experience where tourists may climb to the Monkey Bay. Salang as lively as it gets on Tioman; there are an ample fascilities in Salang, resorts, police station, restaurants and shops are lined up around the bay, with the biggest cluster of activity around the jetty. However, it still has a laid-back, holiday village charm and the only traffic you will find here is a child on a bicycle chasing one of the huge monitor lizards out of the way.

Beach in Salang divide in two. Nothern side of the vilage is rocky and unsuitable for swimming at low tide,but the soft sand on the southern part offers a much better place lying on beach and subathe.
