Ancol Beach is stretching on the north coast of Jakarta. It is a part of Ancol recreation park that was built in 1966 upon the order of President Soekarno who had a vision of a recreation park by the sea. There are some beaches at Ancol: Pantai Carnaval, Pantai Festival, Pantai Ria, Pantai Elok. We can enjoy the panorama of the parks and the beaches from gondola (cable car). We can also see replika kapal pecah, a broken ship for education.

Parks and beaches in the Jaya Ancol Dreamland Park area consist of several parts of beaches that reaching 2 km of length and 15 hectares of width. Each part of the beaches has specific name which is different one another, such as Festival Beach, East Beach, Ria Beach, Elok Beach and Danau Beach.  The facilities provided at Ancol Beach Park are including exercising facilities, games facilities, and transportation facilities.

Getting there

Ancol is the nearest beach in Jakarta that can be reached by bus or taxi. Dont forget sun protection during your visit there. The most nice time visited is in the morning time and before sun set.
